The old adage "A picture is worth a thousand words" still holds true. Photography is capturing a moment in time and preserving it forever.
Photography is both an art and a science. It is an art that is open to interpretation and can tell a story about the photographer or the subject itself. We use photography as a creative outlet to focus and appreciate God's creation around us.
In this class, students use DSLR cameras not to capture images but to creat art. Our students not only explore the creativity of the medium but also begin to develop a mastery of the techincal side as well. They learn the basics of color, composition, balance, and the use of light to control the way the image impacts the viewer.
